Meadow Vale - Newcastle

For this Newcastle interior design project, the brief was to transform the hallway, staircase and adjoining office/spare room into warm, cohesive spaces with more character and a stronger sense of identity.

The clients wanted the interiors to feel considered and welcoming while remaining practical for everyday life. A key part of the brief was creating a better connection between the different areas of the home, introducing richer finishes, improved lighting and carefully considered storage, while giving the entrance and staircase the impact they deserved.

We developed the interior design from concept through to completion, including the overall design direction, finishes, flooring, lighting, bespoke joinery, furniture and accessories.

The staircase was completely reworked with a new bannister and runner, while wallpaper, flooring and lighting brought warmth and character to the hallway. Bespoke storage and joinery were introduced within the office/spare room, and new steel doors created a strong architectural feature while helping the spaces feel connected.

We also managed procurement, suppliers and trades throughout the project, coordinating the programme and installation through to the final styling and finishing touches.

The staircase is our favourite feature of Meadow Vale. What was previously a transitional space has become one of the defining elements of the home.

The combination of the updated bannister, runner, wallpaper and layered lighting gives the hallway warmth and personality, while the steel doors add a contemporary contrast. We love that it feels impactful without feeling overly designed. It sets the tone for the rest of the interior as soon as you step inside.
